Yarn Care & Preservation

“Because every skein is a soft archive—worthy of respect, and ready for ritual.”

Environmental Control

Store your yarn between 15–22ºC (59–71ºF).
Avoid basements and attics—thermal shifts can damage fibres over time.

Material Integrity

Gravity is not a friend.
Never hang yarn or garments—fold gently to help fibres retain their memory.

Cleaning

Treat it like a sacred relic.
Hand-wash in pH-neutral soap with tepid water. Agitate like a river, not a machine.

Drying

Air, not heat.
Lay flat on a breathable surface, reshape while damp, and dry away from sunlight.

Moth Prevention

Repel with reverence.
Use cedar, lavender, or bay leaves. Avoid synthetics. Rotate your stash seasonally.

“Like any heirloom, yarn asks for care—a small ritual of preservation in a world that forgets.”
