Where Yarn Becomes Story

I didn’t set out to start a yarn company. During the stillness of the pandemic, I picked up needles for the first time. My very first knit was a hat — simple, imperfect, but it lit something in me. One hat became another, and soon it became an obsession.

Travel had already filled my mind with colors I couldn’t forget — pinks from Thai markets, mossy greens from Iceland, indigo from Japan. But I couldn’t find yarn that carried those memories, so I began dyeing.

What began as a hat is now a dream: to share yarn that holds story and meaning, so you can make your own with it. Yarnthropology is my way of turning memory and passion into something we can hold together.

Mission:

We hand-dye sustainable, small-batch yarn that captures what captivates us—fleeting moments in nature, ancient traditions, and the quiet magic of daily life.

Our Mission & Vision

Vision:

To see yarn as a conduit for wonder—uniting culture, craft, and environmental care to inspire limitless, meaningful creation.

We want our yarn to feel like memory—nostalgic, meditative, sacred.

To us, crafting isn’t just about making; it’s a moment of mindfulness. When time slows down and color becomes ritual, creativity becomes presence.

Each skein is a portal to that sacred pause—to wonder held in your hands.
