Where Yarn Becomes Story
Yarnthropology was born from motion, memory, and making.
I’ve lived across cities and cultures, always drawn to unfamiliar streets and unexpected friendships. Travel wasn’t escape — it was becoming. Each place left a color, a feeling, a whisper I wanted to hold onto.
In the stillness of the pandemic, I picked up knitting. One hat turned into an obsession. But I couldn’t find yarn that matched what I’d seen — the pinks of a Thai market, the mossy greens of Iceland, the indigo of a Japanese vat. So I began dyeing.
Each skein became a souvenir. A story. A way to blend my love for anthropology with my craft.
To me, yarn is a living archive. It holds the texture of landscapes, of cultures, of moments too big for words. Yarnthropology is where I turn those memories into something you can hold, stitch, and share.
This isn’t just yarn. It’s a story — yours and mine.
We want our yarn to feel like memory—nostalgic, meditative, sacred.
To us, crafting isn’t just about making; it’s a moment of mindfulness. When time slows down and color becomes ritual, creativity becomes presence.
Each skein is a portal to that sacred pause—to wonder held in your hands.
